The Wellbeing Partners’ course has been charted. The organization is well on its way to bring together the great work of our legacy organizations – bridging workplace wellbeing and community health. After all, they are two sides of the same coin.
Our workplaces are made of the community, and our community makes up the workplace.
We also serve those who lie in the middle, on the outside, and those who play other valuable roles in our wellbeing economy like care-providers, aging populations, youth, and other critical individuals that enrich our community.
There is still much work to be done. In agreement with the African proverb, “If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together,” we can only be the rising tide to lift all boats, when businesses, community partners, families and local leaders all work together.
We also must take good care of ourselves along the journey. We all have inherent value, worth, and potential to do more and be more, for ourselves, for our families, and for our communities that need us to thrive. We all can course correct: make changes, as small as they may be, toward a greater good.
The winds won’t stop blowing and the rain will keep coming, but we can don our windbreakers, take up our umbrellas, and enter a future that resonates positive thoughts and actions, in community, through community, by anchoring ourselves in holistic wellbeing.
Our perceptions are key; I would love to hear yours! Contact me to discuss membership, partnership – all the ‘ships. I can’t wait to see what we come up with as we write our future together.
