Project READI Workshop 4 – Microagressions, Communication, and Intentional Inclusion

Project READI (Respect, Equity, Access, Diversity, & Inclusion) is a year-long human relation, diversity awareness and leadership development program for professionals. Project READI is designed to help employees understand their role and responsibility in creating an organizational culture where everyone can learn, communicate, and work in collaboration and mutual respect. Program activities challenge participants to leave their “comfort zone” and empowers them to become positive role models and future leaders of inclusion. Project READI is divided into two programming phases: first, educational workshops, and second, strategy sessions. Phase one begins with educational programming that provides participants with a foundational level of language around identities, systems, socialization, culture, and communication. Phase two’s monthly strategy sessions include goal formation and mission confirmation to establish a trajectory and culminate in planning sessions to develop internal diversity and inclusion strategies. These final sessions are used to guide and support internal leadership on creating and implementing a campaign or initiative to create sustainable change.
