The regional Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) addresses a priority health need based on community feedback. In 2018, the Douglas, Sarpy/Cass, and Pottawattamie Health Departments began to work collaboratively for the first time on the regional CHIP.
The current regional CHIP, 2020-2022, tackles the community-identified need of mental health. Within this topic, community members identified four priorities within the topic of mental health that outline the aspects of need within our communities:
