Celebrate National Bike Month all throughout May! National Bike and Walk to School week is the first week of the month, and National Bike to Work Week is the second week.
Heartland B-Cycle is the first large-scale municipal bike sharing system in the Omaha metro area. There are 70 stations, many of which are conveniently located along the Bike Omaha Network. It’s easy to use! Just purchase your membership online or at any B-station. Choose a bike from any B-station and go! Return your bike to any B-station.
All Metro full-size buses have bicycle racks – and bicycles ride free! It’s easy to load and unload your bicycle onto the racks. Metro bus racks accommodate the wheel size of 16 inches or larger. Only non-motorized, two-wheel bikes are allowed. For more information on Bike & Ride and for schedules and maps of all Metro bus routes, click below.
the Bike Omaha Network is made available thanks to these partners:
Bike Walk Nebraska, Douglas County Health Department, Heartland B-Cycle, Mode Shift Omaha, Omaha Bikes, Omaha Metro, Papio Missouri River NRD, and studioINSITE
This work was made possible with funding from local philanthropists including Peter Kiewit Foundation and the Sherwood Foundation.
